ゴーストといったら、からだの少し前の宙に浮いているふたつのてのひらが特徴です。
指をまげて、飛び出してくるような、その感じを表現しました。
かつてのゴーストの、背中のとげが細くて長いことが、ずっと気になっていました。
誌面の制約があって、細かな調整までは図に描き入れることができないため、そのままになっていました。
ようやく今回、手直ししました。長さ太さだけでなく、傾きも調整しました。
この作品は1999年に著作権者の監修を受け正式に許諾を得たものです。

◆はじめ、あたまのとげは左右2本ずつ、つくっていました。
そうしたら「3本になりませんか」と言われました。
それで、あのとげは任意に生えているのではなく、左右3本ずつなのだということがわかりました。

■ゴーストは、紫色の紙で、まず基本折りの図20まで折る。

Basic Folding
1. Fold the bottom corner to meet the top corner.
2. Make a crease and return it to its original position.
3. Rotate the paper 90 degrees, fold the other pair of corners together, make a crease and return it to its original position.

4. Rotate the paper 45 degrees and fold the bottom edge to line up with the top edge.
5. Make a crease and return it to its original position.
6. Rotate the paper 90 degrees and fold the other pair of edges together.
7. Hold the crease ▲ made in step 6 with your fingers and fold gently from both sides together.
8. Let the paper naturally fold along the creases to form the shape of 9.
9. A basic square is created.

10. Change the top and bottom positions.
With the opening facing downwards, fold the bottom left and right edges to meet the crease in the middle.

12. Fold the top at the point where the crease made in 11 intersects with the top left and right edges.

1. Fold up to the basic fold shape 20. Fold the front paper at the base downwards.

4. Make the spike on top of the head. Make a cut with scissors in the front paper from the bottom tip to 16 mm below the top fold.
5. Make cuts with scissors along the diagonal folds on the left and right, from the bottom tip to the top fold.

8. Fold the top paper downwards at the base. Since it is separated into front and back, fold both pieces downwards.
